First Ever Winery

On day 2 we got up early, too excited to sit still for too long! But first, coffee!
One of the things we really want to do is discover small town America and enjoy everything local. Elma, WA was our first real stop and we started with breakfast at ShuJack's Bar & Grill. Bloody Marys and a couple scrambles hit the spot.
Another goal is to find a Geocache at each stop. Our first geocache of our adventure was at this historical 1800's home, just a quick stroll from ShuJack's.
Time to hit the road! Of course we want the back roads and scenic byways but soon discovered some are more back roads than others!
To think we almost passed Westport Winery... that would have been a travesty! We started with tastings of both the spirits from Ocean Daughters Distillery and some wines from the winery.
Barry actually did the wine tasting with me, his first one ever!!
Then on to the most amazing discovery! It's 15 acres of sculptures, gardens, hideaways and even a mermaid museum!
After strolling the grounds and tending to Charlie we had the greatest meal, and I mean greatest, at the Seaglass Grill. Bacon wrapped shrimp, calamari, clam chowder and A MARTINI TOWER!!!
What an experience that was! On to Tokeland for the night, we had planned on the Shoalater Casino but the night held much better plans for us!
A relaxing bonfire at the Tradewinds was exactly what we needed! Cheers to BC Life!
